The hosts of the mountain hostel and ristoro San Romerio are Gino Bongulielmi and his family.
Their experience of 29 years of work on the mountain have made the small cottage a special place for visitors. It can be used as a station for resting during trekking tours or for spending weeks of holidays as a home and starting point for hikes.
At times, the host family is supported by volunteers.
The hearts and souls of Gino Bongulielmi and his family belong to the nature of the Puschlav mountains, their traditions and the hospitality to guests. The beautiful simple nature of the Poschiavo and joy of working and being in contact with guests from all over the world, make the hard life in the mountains worthwhile.
Above all we value the personal and individual care for our guests in this cozy atmosphere and our love for the mountains.
Simplicity and peace in life and the appreciation of little things are still valuable over here: what you wear is not what your are in San Romerio.
The nature of the Puschlav spoils its guests - also culinarily! Enjoy the natural products of the region, harvested in our own alpine garden and bought from local producers in the valley.
Family Bongulielmi serves traditional dishes of the region: homemade pizzoccheri, fresh salads with alpine herbs and much more.
Gino Bongulielmi will certainly try to convince you to enjoy the taste and quality of the old wine from Valtellina.
Spend your holidays in the nature of Puschlav, with hosts who truely love to offer their hospitality and share the simple life in the mountains.
