Double room CROT
The traditional Crot from the Val Poschiavo valley is a round, cave-like domed structure made from dry stone walls and a false arch. This shelter is used for storing fresh harvest goods under cover of darkness. Today we still have two solid Crotti, used as natural refrigerators for our home-grown and regional products. One of the Crotti was constructed by Gino and his son in 2014.
Our double room is the ideal hideaway for couples: the room is quietly located on the first floor and offers a king size bed. If nights are chilly, warm woolen blankets cater for coziness and the southbound directed window opens to a stunning view of the Italian Alps.

It is a rustic and shared accommodation for groups and solo travelers. Triple bedroom CHAR BURNER'S ROOM
For many centuries charcoal was produced in seclusion above the alp. Hard working men – named char burners – were masters of this exhausting and black trade. Nowadays, hiking the 1 hour „Köhlerweg“ trail around the Rifugio, the traditional domains („carbunera“) can be seen.
With a bunk bed and a single bed, our triple bedroom offers space for small parties, families or solo travelers. If you have some more luggage, this room will cater for enough storage.
